Robbie, it's not about format. It's about Blogger's system for uploading images. Blogger is owned by Google now and they were using a third-party (Picasa) for image upload. That's finished now and loads of people, ibcluding me, have complained that what used to be an easy photo-upload process no longer works. Blogger/Google says they're aware of the problem and the we "should be patient". It's a bloody nuisance.

Have you tried posting photos in different formats - .png for instance?
