Concerning your previous post on internet addiction, the first "anonymous" was me, Tom of Gwynt. Don't know who the other "anonymous" was.

Tom, sorry,I didn't know that anonymous was you - how could I know?

I've had a series of peculiar anonymous comments'which seem like spam or robots and that's why I re-instated the comments monitoring option. It's a nuisance but there's no other way to prevent spamming.

I hope you and Lucy had a lovely Christmas and will have an exceellent 2020. Sent you a card but no doubt it hasn't yet arrived. Many thanks for yours.

I can't understand the "anonymous" problem. Yes, we had a lovely Christmas. A group of ten of us met in the local restaurant, owned by a Brit couple and including them, for Christmas lunch. We each made a contribution, and everything went very well. Somehow it seemed also that we were acknowledging our separation from the UK; but perhaps that was just me.

We did receive your card, on Christmas Eve, for which we thank you very much. Lucy has received notification of her being awarded French citizenship. She just needs the French birth certificate to get her French passport (to go alongside her British one), and a letter of congrats from M. le Président. Then, at some point, there will be a little ceremony. Wish I could do likewise, but understanding spoken French is a massive problem for me.

All the very best for 2020 from each of us.
