Walnuttian

No, but seriously, the most interesting thing is the way the two halves of the 'Walnuttian' brain, whilst being different, are joined in this remarkably...yes, tender...way.

I've outlined and highlighted the two sections in my photo of the walnut. See what I mean? Maybe our current brains are responsible for so much conflict because, um, we've lost that loving feeling?

I see a woman and child. What do you see?

Could this be Natalie's variation on the ink blot test? What are we revealing about ourselves, I wonder?

Tom, it's a really interesting coincidence (or serendipity) that you mention the Rorschach ink-blot test. I thought about it too when I was looking at the shape of the walnut, how much it resembles the shapes made by an ink blot when you fold a sheet of paper in half. Then there's that whole thing about mirror images etc.etc.

I'm always fascinated by these chains of links when things previously unrelated suddenly appear absolutely related. You mention our psychological interpretations, the things we 'read' into shapes and what this may reveal about us. So this again is related to the brain, the left and right spheres and how we 'see' things - more 'left brain' or 'right brain' etc.
