POINTING TOWARDS THE MOON

Vincent has honoured me by publishing on his blog a wayfarer's notes an email I sent him five years ago in response to a post of his Fingers and Moon at that time. Here's the link to Vincent's current post:

He asked me for an image to illustrate the current post so I sent him these two.

Thank you for quoting me again Vincent!

I'd appreciate it greatly if you would change the mugshot which you've included. I really hate that photo (taken by a Guardian photographer for my article in 2018) and don't feel it represents me at all. No doubt this is vanity but if I'm to be remembered, I'd rather the mugshot was more like me. There are loads of others here on my blog - how about using one of those???

Yes, I expected that, and I've instantly changed it, finding a lovely one from 1956, after searching your blog for "self-portrait". If there's another you would prefer, please let me know. I like the symmetry of 2 self-portraits, you at one end and Blake at the other.

That's fine, thanks Vincent!

Sorry, Natalie, I deleted my first comment because it linked to my post "Art in the Time of Fragility".

I had to delete that post because it was largely based on quotes by an artist who turns out to be a crackpot (to put it kindly).
