I didn't get this at first then I realised it pinpoints a real source of anxiety for children and young people.

Do you like Bob and Roberta Smith?

Unlike Carruthers, I can't arrive at a context that would make sense of this, much as I'de like to share the joke

Carruthers and Vincent, thanks for your comments.

I see now that I wasn't clear. Sometimes my way of thinking is somewhat cryptic to others even though it seems obvious to me!

I was actually caricaturing the way that advice is often given, including by me, to others (of any age). Secretly believing they should see life as I do but, not wanting to appear judgemental, pretending that their actions or opinions are none of my business. So the HA HAH HAH is mocking myself as well as the whole charade.

Does that make sense now?

An artist is a law unto herself. By definition, no one else can do as she does. She can safely say "Do as I say, not as I do". No one can really know what she does, only what she displays Such is the mystery of Creator and Creation.
