Can't let today go by without congratulating Jeremy Corbyn.
Bravo Jeremy! A non-triumphalist speech, generous to his opponents, no bitterness, no recriminations, no blaming, no waffle, only a positive, constructive, grateful message spoken from the heart. A new kind of politics? Almost makes one optimistic about the future.

Since the Brexit event I find my interest in UK politics has lost a great deal of its passion - maybe passion's too strong a word anyway. On the other hand I am interested to see what happens now that Jeremy Corbyn has had his mandate increased.
I think the behaviour of the Labour Party as represented in the "Commons" has been, and continues to be, a quite deplorable spectacle. Never in my experience as self-interest in politics been so much on display. It beats into a poor second place all the Conservative Party shenanigans over the referendum, and that's saying something.
Whether Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party will be good or bad for the UK I would not care to hazard a guess. What concers me more is whether the unfolding story of UK politics will be good or bad for Europe.
Tom, I agree but I also think that something new and positive is emerging out of the extraordinary grass roots support that Corbyn's very different approach to politics has been generating, especially among young people, in the past few months. I'm cautiously optimistic that it will grow and formulate policies that include and benefit everyone.
