Brilliant artist, Snow.
Eliminates the non-essential and reveals the geometry
we usually don't notice. Brings out the chiaroscuro
in everything. Transforms the ordinary into the magnificent.
Then it wipes it all out and turns the masterpiece into
slush. Artists! We're such a temperamental lot.
Sorry I've been so uncommunicative.
My plans to be a more frequent blogger have
been overtaken by a marvellous new project
to which I am committed but don't want to talk about
until it has been confirmed. Meanwhile I will post snippets
of this and that and hope my few readers will not give
up on me. One resolution I intend to keep is
to finish my autobiography this year...or as finished
as it can ever be, since I'm still alive. So keep watching
               this space.

There's nothing wrong with "slow blogging". In fact, I think I enjoy blogging more since I resolved to post less. And I tend not to whizz round loads of blogs leaving minimal comments - just read a handful of favourites at one sitting and comment at more length (sometimes I catch myself spending longer writing a comment on a blog than I spend writing my own posts).
Dominic, that makes me feel much better, thanks! I just wish I was able to multi-task better than I do. On the other hand, slow and concentrated focus is preferable, innit? Consistency is not one of my virtues.
Have you seen Rachel Fox's new blog,
http://allourhopesanddreams.blogspot.co.uk/
? I mention it as it struck me that so much of your art that I've seen seemed to me to chime into her theme (you can submit pieces of writing or anything that started life in any media I think that can be blog-posted).
I've just had a piece of prose posted there.
Dominic, thanks very much! I've just followed the link and read your post which is excellent and moving.
I like Rachel's site very much and will certainly contribute something - not sure what but will think about it.
