If you write a comment it's 'published' automatically. And why do you put "NOT" in capitals to say you're not Jewish? Who cares whether you're Jewish or not? I'm not anti-semitic and don't accept any form of anti-semitism. Half of my DNA is semitic.Natalie d'Arbeloffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07757081405040926647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24746593.post-37836689179745474962017-04-16T17:03:35.246+01:002017-04-16T17:03:35.246+01:00Davoh, I can't comment on what anyone might se...Davoh, I can't comment on what anyone might see in an artwork of mine. It's open to all interpretations. All I know is what it represents to me, or the feelings that inspired it, and that's why I've given it the title: "The Cosmic Sadness of a Teeange Girl Crying In the Shower". That's it.Natalie d'Arbeloffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07757081405040926647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24746593.post-69023371652010147902017-04-16T08:11:35.122+01:002017-04-16T08:11:35.122+01:00Natalie (don't publish this) ... but the pic o...Natalie (don't publish this) ... but the pic of "the girl in bath with shower reminds me of the holocaust. Natalie, am Australian, NOT Jewish, father and mother 'non committed' - "Calathumpian" - but final year at a bluestone 'Scotch protestant' college, lived (boarded) with a Jewish family. Their father died while was there. 'Tis a complicated story.

The simple bit is that i began to comprehend the Jewish faith, and history. Have, of course, at my age - looked at the histories of many "faiths, myths and legends" ..

... but remain in the belief of the 'goodness' of human beings - and animals - and trees - The complexity of Gaia (planet Earth) and the Cosmos.

Make of that as you choose (though might make jokes and jests about it all, sometimes).

Davohhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02785126939071213905noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24746593.post-50805456265124984442017-04-11T15:49:49.649+01:002017-04-11T15:49:49.649+01:00Davoh, no need to pay me anything at all if you do...Davoh, no need to pay me anything at all if you download the photo of my maquette of "Cosmic Sadness of Teenage Girl Crying in the Shower" (that's the title) for no commercial purpose. As I wrote in my post, I made it as a model for a painting I'm working on. The photo of the little maquette is only a photo, the maquette (model)is not for sale, and the painting doesn't exist as yet. So the subject of its value is not relevant.

If I post photos of some of my work or works-in-progress on the internet it's a window into my life and studio and also helpful to me as a kind of diary. I've been blogging for nearly 15 years and I do have a notice that my stuff is copyright. Obviously I don't want anyone copying my stuff, pretending it's theirs and wanting to sell it (some people have tried this). But I don't mind at all if someone shares something of mine on their blog and credits me as the artist or author.
Natalie d'Arbeloffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07757081405040926647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24746593.post-86852209280341164682017-04-11T10:57:34.595+01:002017-04-11T10:57:34.595+01:00Um, Natalie - forgive me, but have now 'copied...Um, Natalie - forgive me, but have now 'copied and downloaded' the internet pic of 'person in bath'. At this point would be prepared to pay AU$20. The 'original' would be worth much, much more.

Am, of course, an Aussie dingbat and know nothing about the value of such things ... heh.Davohhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02785126939071213905noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24746593.post-553387261295019162017-04-02T11:55:07.097+01:002017-04-02T11:55:07.097+01:00Davoh, of course artworks and children aren't ...Davoh, of course artworks and children aren't like each other - I was just pulling a metaphor out of a hat.

Very sad that your son won't acknowledge you. Often it's the father who refuses to recognise his own child. If you can paint your story, do it! Don't put it off to some "later" time. After later there's always another later and then it's too late, you know? All you need is a pencil and some paper, you can make a start.Natalie d'Arbeloffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07757081405040926647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24746593.post-6455524385212112572017-04-02T11:16:20.766+01:002017-04-02T11:16:20.766+01:00O,Natalie - children are not like artworks.
