LIKE BUSES

things that go wrong often come in clusters, for no fathomable reason. That's how it was last week and how this week is starting. At least four important areas in my life went bang, slapped me in the face, knocked me down and didn't help me back up. I won't go into detail in case that makes it worse. I thought that just mentioning it here might magically remove the jinx. What magical symbol could I insert to make it work?

Sorry to hear that! Hope all will be smooth again with this wish though I don't have any magical incantations to share. Take care, Natalie.

Thanks, dear Marja-Leena.

A pile of greenbacks.

Robbie, you mean money? Not relevant to the situation but thanks for the suggestion anyway.

I know what you mean - very sorry this has been happening to you, Natalie. The trouble with entirely random shit is that there's no obvious antidote. Really important to remember it is random, I think - not the universe ganging up on you. Many hugs and hopes for a burst of unexpected good things before too long. xx

Dear Jean, thanks very much. i hope things, random and otherwise, are looking bright for you now. When are you back in Blogland?

Perhaps it's better to get it out of the way in one lumps, rather than dragging it out. Reminds me of the No. 37 bus route.

Tom, yes better get knocked out in one round rather than battered about in 10 or more, eh? But things are looking a bit better so maybe the ladybird (bête à Bon Dieu) and the good wishes of blogger friends are chasing the bad luck cluster.

Ladybugs are always good to have around I think. I hope good luck comes with yours, Natalie.

Not counting eggs yet but looks like ladybug is doing its job. Thanks for the good wishes, Bruce.

That's a bummer. I read that the 'other' side is closer right now. Maybe that's the why of it. Hope it works better for you soon

Thanks, Rain, things are improving. What do you mean 'the other side is closer' ??
